Nestled along a stunning beachfront, Baleia Azul Tent No. 7 offers the ultimate escape into nature’s serene beauty. With lush greenery all around and breathtaking views of the azure ocean, this exclusive retreat is your perfect haven for relaxation and rejuvenation by the sea. The famous Fredericos snorkeling spot is located a mere 10-minute walk down the beach.

Sleeping Arrangements

Designed to provide both comfort and style. The centerpiece of the tent is a plush king-size bed adorned with soft linen and a cozy Mozzy net, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.
The en-suite bathroom features a refreshing shower, double vanity basins, and a toilet equipped with a septic tank system.
Guests will also find a single sleeper couch with a Mozzy net, offering additional sleeping space for an extra child or adult.
You are welcome to take a blow-up mattress (please bring your own bedding) for an additional child should there be 2 adults + 2 children using the unit.

All linen and bath towels are provided for 3 people.

Your Space

Kitchen Facilities: Experience the joy of outdoor cooking in the kitchen located just outside the tent.
Prepare delicious meals using the double gas burner and braai, and dine under the stars amidst the natural beauty of the surroundings.
The kitchen is stocked with cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, and cooking utensils, providing everything you need.

Baleia Azul Tent Tent No. 7 is thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities to enhance your stay. Stay cool and comfortable with the air conditioning and fan provided in the tent.
Outside, on the spacious deck, guests can indulge in a luxurious bath in the bathtub or take a refreshing dip in the splash pool.
Additionally, an outdoor shower offers a convenient way to rinse off after a day of adventure.
The deck also features a 4-seater table and chairs, perfect for enjoying meals al fresco while soaking in the stunning views.

PLEASE NOTE – There is NO TV / DSTV and Wifi at Baleia Azul Tent No 7.

Connectivity: While Luxury Tent No. 7 offers a retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, guests can stay connected with the outside world by purchasing a local SIM card in Ponta Malongane.

Frederico’s snorkeling spot is a short 10-minute stroll down the beach.
Explore the wonders of Fredrico’s reef.
During low tide, this pristine reef offers excellent opportunities for swimming and snorkeling, allowing guests to discover the vibrant marine life beneath the surface.

Guest Access –

An off-road 4X4 vehicle is essential for access to the area and Baleia Azul Beach Estate, otherwise secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.

There is an entry and exit permit that you need to get at the entrance gate to the Estate, the cost is R 100.00. Remember to hand this permit back when you leave and collect your R 100.00.

Staff Fee –

A R70.00 fee per day is payable to the housekeeper on the day you depart.
The fee must include your arrival and departure date. Please have enough
cash to pay the staff on your departure.

Other Things To Note –

Please take note that the swimming pool does not have a child safety net.
Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case. Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes. Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices. The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the Ponta Malongane village It is advisable to bring OR buy bottled drinking water.

Please note we make use of a septic system and don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper. Guests must bring their own consumables e.g. (food and liquids, mosquito repellent,  etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the housekeeper on arrival.

REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 1500.00 is payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages and lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded to your bank account. Please report any breakages to the housekeepers before you depart. If you find items broken on your 1st day of arrival, please report them to the housekeeper so that they can let the homeowner know.

House Rules –

Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
Late check-out Fee – R 1500.00
Late check-out is on request only.
This is due to incoming bookings on the day of your departure.
Should the house be available, we will deduct the R 1500.00 from your refundable breakage deposit. The late check-out time is 3 pm.
Any later and they will retain the full breakage deposit.
Please stick to the check-in and check-out times to avoid issues.

Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house – any additional person will be asked to leave. The homeowners at the estate get fined if additional guests are staying at the house. This will affect the refund of the breakage deposit.

No smoking.
No pets.
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.

Swimming Pool –
The swimming pool at all the houses has no safety features.
Use of the swimming pool and the associated amenities and facilities are strictly at your own risk. Ponta Malongane Accommodation, Homeowner, and the Estate booked at cannot be held responsible in the event of accidental injury and or death.

Swimming in the Ocean
We would like to extend a crucial reminder to all visitors planning to swim in the beautiful waters of Mozambique.
While the allure of Mozambique’s pristine beaches may be enticing, it is imperative to exercise extreme caution when venturing into the ocean.
We regret to inform you that many beaches in Mozambique lack signpost warnings and are not equipped with lifeguards,
significantly increasing the risks associated with swimming.
One of the most significant dangers to be aware of is the presence of rip tides.
These powerful currents can swiftly pull even the strongest swimmers out to sea, posing a grave threat to your safety.
Without proper signage or lifeguards to guide you, it is vital to remain vigilant and heed any natural warnings such as sudden changes in water color or unusually strong currents.
In light of these hazards, we strongly advise all visitors to exercise caution and refrain from swimming alone. Always inform someone on the land of your plans,
and never underestimate the power of the ocean.

Cancellation Policy –

Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival 70% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival 0% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
