BLAKERS HOUSE WAKENE BEACH ESTATE

Blakers house located on one of the most scenic spots north of Ponta Malongane sets the ideal location for a holiday by the sea, far from the hustle and bustle. If you prize peaceful seclusion and being a stone’s throw from the beach, Blakers beach house is the one for you.
The Villa of timber construction has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with a beautiful garden and a wooden walkway directly on the beach.
Situated among the endless beaches of Ponta Malongane, Blakers House at Wakene Estate is located on 18 acres of Coastal Dune Forest with its own beachfront, 2 km North of Ponta Malongane, 7 km from Ponta do Oura, and 15km from the Kosi bay border.

Sleeping Arrangements

Blakers house sleeps 9 guests in 4 bedrooms.
Bedroom 1 – 1 Double bed. En-suite. Mosquito Nets.
Bedroom 2 – 1 Double bed. En-suite. Mosquito Nets
Bedroom 3 – 2 Single beds. Mosquito Nets
Bedroom 4 – 3 Single beds. Mosquito Nets
Bedrooms 3 and 4 shares 1 bathroom.
Each bedroom is comfortably furnished with ceiling fans, bedside tables, and bedside lamps, and Mosquito Netting.
All linen and bath towels are provided.

Your Space

Blaker’s house is fully serviced with cleaning materials, linen, and bath towels.
With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a full dining and lounge area, Blakers house is ideally suited to two families or 8 adults.
The dining room has a wooden table with wooden benches, a ceiling fan, and a pedestal fan.
A separate kitchen has all the modern conveniences and ample space with
Electric Stove and Oven.
1 x Chest deep freeze.
1 x Fridge/Freezer.
7 kg Top Load Washing Machine.Microwave.
4 Slice Toaster.
Electric Kettle.
10 x Ice Trays.
Ice machine.
Portable Cd/Radio.
Iron + Iron Board.
The large deck with its stainless steel balustrades and exquisite, endless ocean views is where you will find a 10 seater table with benches for alfresco dining and a gas braai – 3 burner which is ideal for outdoor braais and roasting.

Rates

Breakage deposit – R 2000.00
Minimum of 2 nights stay and a minimum of 4 adults charge during low season.
Children 4-12 years – half price
Children 0-3 years – no charge
Minimum of 7 nights stay during peak season. Unit rate applies.

Guest Access –

An off-road 4X4 vehicle is essential for access to the area and Wakene Beach Estate, otherwise secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post, and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.

Staff Tip –

There is a compulsory daily staff tip – Blakers House is serviced by a housekeeper once a day. Please tip her at your discretion.

Other Things To Note –

Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case. Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes. Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices. The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the Ponta Malongane village It is advisable to bring OR buy bottled drinking water.
Please note we make use of a septic system, don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper. Guests must bring their own consumables e.g. (food and liquids, mosquito repellent,  etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the housekeeper on arrival.
REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 2000.00 payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages and lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded into your bank account.

House Rules –

Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
An R 800.00 charge will be levied for early check-in and late check-outs (2:30 pm – Latest).
No smoking.
No pets.
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.
