Kangela 2. Immerse yourself in a delicious mix of serenity and style at the breathtaking Kangela 2 beach villa. You may practice yoga on the front deck, or instead, sip your early morning coffee to greet the new day. Either way, staying at Beachy Kangela 2 can only truly be appreciated by experiencing the beauty of this seaside home.
Located within the sort after Kangela Beach estate, this 12 sleeper self-catering home is Secluded on a sand dune. There are no neighbours visible, offering a tranquil setting. Part of the allure of being by the sea, is the calming colours of the design and decor, reflecting the natural environment. It has a “shabby chic” beach look, with a local input of reeded blinds, original paintings, and textures of rattan and natural fabrics. The concrete floors go out to a wooden deck around the pool and lead directly to the beach. Come out! it’s beach time.

The house sleeps 10 people comfortably, with a capacity for 12 with two daybeds in the two master suites. Each bedroom is very comfortably furnished with mozzie nets, fans, percale cotton sheets, king-size feather pillows, cotton bed throws, bath and pool towels. A safety deposit box is located in one of the master suites.
The downstairs open plan, double volume living area has a well-equipped kitchen, with

and in the scullery, there is a washing machine and tumble drier.
The reception area leads to the lounge and dining room. The house comes with a television with a full DStv(satellite) and DVD player.
Upstairs, there are four bedrooms all ensuite. They have full and partial sea views. Downstairs an ensuite room with garden views.
Just outside the Kitchen, there is a boma with a central fire area for a wood braai or gas braai. Near the pool, there is a gazebo with lovely northerly views over the beach which is a great spot for cocktails and “shooting the breeze”

Guest Access –
An off-road 4X4 or 2×4 with a diff lock vehicle is essential for access to the area and to Kangela Estate, otherwise secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.
Staff Tip –
The compulsory staff fees are R100 per staff member, per day, for Sergio and Thembi this includes the day of arrival and departure day – to be paid in cash on departure date.
Duties include cleaning, washing dishes, washing, and ironing, laying tables, putting out pool loungers, umbrellas, washing the cars, attending to the pool, etc. They are happy to prepare meals with your instruction but don’t do the cooking.
Their hours are 07h30 to 17h00, with an hour for lunch.
Please ensure you have enough Rands cash on you on your departure date. Updated 2021.
Other Things To Note –
Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case.
Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes.
Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices.
The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. There is a purifier in the scullery but should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the village. It is advisable to bring bottled drinking water.
Please note we make use of a septic system, don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper. Please bring 1 x ply toilet paper.
Guests must bring their own consumables e.g. (food and liquids, sunlight liquid, washing detergents for clothes, mosquito repellent, 1 x ply toilet paper, etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the Reception office at Kangela Estate after 2 pm. They should be dropped off again on the date of departure between 8 am and 10 am.
REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 4000.00 is payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages and lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded to your bank account. Please report any breakages to the housekeepers before you depart. If you find items broken on your 1st day of arrival, please report them to the housekeeper so that they can let the homeowner know.
House Rules –
Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house – any additional person will be asked to leave. The homeowners at the estate get fined if there are additional guests staying at the house. This will affect the refund of the breakage deposit.
An R 800.00 charge will be levied for early check-in and late check-outs (2:30 pm – Latest).
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.
Swimming Pool –
The swimming pool at all the house’s has no safety features.
Use of the swimming pool and the associated amenities and facilities are strictly at your own risk. Ponta Malongane Accommodation, Homeowner and the Estate booked at cannot be held responsible in the event of accidental injury and or death.
Cancellation Policy –
Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival 70% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival 0% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
*Service fees are non-refundable.
