Dream Beach Lodge – If you want to be secluded from the busier Ponta Do Ouro and Ponta Malongane, then Dream Beach Lodge is the place to be. Located in a tranquil dune forest with easy access to a STUNNING beach and then there’s still everything the Indian Ocean and golden sandy beach has to offer too. A wooden stairway to the beach runs between the houses. On the Estate, you will find some private self-catering homes as well as a Lodge. is about a half-hour (20 km) sand road drive from the Kosi Bay Border, you slip the car into 4×4 mode to take on the sandy roads. A 4×4 vehicle or 2×4 with a diff lock will be needed to access the area and Dream Beach Lodge. The Ponta Malongane Dive camp is located about 200 meters from the estate’s gate.

Close to shore, the dive region offers divers more than 15 beautiful coral reefs to explore. All range in different depths (up to 48 meters) which caters to beginner and advanced divers. Maputo Elephant Reserve nearby Ponta Malongane.

150 km south of Maputo and about 50 km north of Ponta Malongane, is the Maputo Elephant Reserve (officially known as “Maputo Special Reserve” or in Portuguese “Reserva Especial de Maputo”). The reserve can only be traversed with a 4×4 and is part of the Lubombo Transfrontier Conservation Area – a project joining areas in countries of Mozambique, South Africa, and Swaziland. Although not a “Big 5” game reserve, Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Zebra, Crocodiles, Antelope, Flamingos, and a wide variety of birds can be spotted in this unspoiled reserve, whilst efforts to restock wildlife is an ongoing process.
