Ponta Malongane Resort – Parque de Malongane – Complexo Turistico Da Ponta Malongane. Ponta Malongane Accommodation with its amazing beach offers Camping and Basic self-catering cottages within the Ponta Malongane Dive camp. 

Accommodation Types

There are 15 Chalets situated close to the beach and Restaurant:
4 x 4 Sleeper Chalets (B1:B2:C1:C2), each with 2 separate bedrooms and an open plan kitchen/living area.
4 x 4 sleeper Rondavels (J: K:L: M), with an open plan kitchen/living area just a few meters from the beach. One of the Rondavels (J) has a separate bedroom with a double bed.
4 x 5 Sleeper Chalets (D1:D2:E1:E2), each with 1 separate bedroom and open plan kitchen/living area. Note that the other 3 beds are open-plan to the kitchen/living area. 
2 x 6 Sleeper Chalets (A1:A2), each with one separate bedroom and open plan kitchen/living/sleeping area. Note that the other 4 beds are open-plan to the kitchen/living area.
1 X 8 Sleeper Guesthouse, one bedroom with en-suite bathroom and double bed, one bedroom with double bed, and one bedroom with 4 single beds sharing a bathroom.
The 2 bedrooms with double beds have aircon.

In all units:
Beds with bedding and linen.
Equipped kitchen with crockery, cutlery, fridge/freezer, and gas cooker.
Private bathroom with hot water shower.
Ceiling fans.
Outside braai facilities.
Note – Chalets are basic self-catering.

Notes:
Please bring your own towels (beach and bath).
Please don’t bring hairdryers or any other electrical appliances with elements.
The Chalets are serviced daily.

Ponta Malongane Camping.

Campsites C01 – C33 are in the Northern section of the Resort.
Campsites C34 – C53, in the Southern section, are closer to the Dive Camp and boat launching area.
Bush Campsites 101 – 109 north of campsites 1 – 33.
The campsites are all individually numbered and demarcated by poles.
All sites are within easy walking distance to the beach and one of our 5 public ablution blocks.
There is a plug point (3 point plug, 5 amp) at all campsites
We also have 6/8/12 person sites available.

Notes for Campers:

• No appliances with elements to be plugged in as this will trip the power supply.
• It is recommended to use gas.
• No kitchen/fridge/freezer facilities are provided.
• Our campsites do not have braais/grids – please bring your own.
• Our campsites do not have tables/benches.
• No camping or fires are permitted outside of the pole site demarcated areas, the grass area, or on the roads.
• No poles are to be removed.

19 Rustic Log Huts which are ideal for scuba divers.
Maximum guests: 2 people per unit.
Log huts comprise 2 single beds with bedding and linen.
AND
14 Deck Tents with beds built upon wooden decks with shade covers.
Maximum guests: 2 people per tent.
Tents on decks comprise of 2 single beds and mosquito-screened windows and doors.

Log Huts and Deck Tents are situated at the Dive Camp, just a few meters from the beach and Nascer do Sol Bar. 
There are no plug points inside the log huts or Deck Tents.
Plug points are available in the Dive Camp for laptops/cell phones/camera chargers.
Persons staying in these Log Huts and Deck Tents have use of the Dive Camp self-catering kitchen where fridge/freezer space will be allocated on arrival.
The communal kitchen is equipped with gas cookers, pots & pans, and basic cooking utensils.
Adjacent ablutions have hot water showers and power outlets for hairdryers and shavers.

Notes:
No cooking; candles; or mosquito burners are permitted inside or on decks of tents.
There is no crockery/cutlery – please bring your own.
Please bring your own towels (beach and bath).
Please take your bedding and linen
Due to limited space in the Dive Camp, the Log Huts and Dive Camp Tents (80%) will be allocated to divers during the high season.

Guest Access –

An off-road 4X4 or 2×4 with a diff lock vehicle is essential for access to the area and to the Ponta Malongane Camp, otherwise, secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.

Other Things To Note –

Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case.
Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes.
Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices.
The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the village and it is advisable to bring bottled drinking water.

Please note we use a septic system and don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper.
Guests must bring their own consumables e.g. (food and liquids, mosquito repellent,  etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the Reception office at the Ponta Malongane Dive Camp after 2 p.m. They should be dropped off again on the date of departure.

REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT to be paid on arrival. Refundable on departure. Any breakages and lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit.
