In using this website www.pontamalongane.com, you are deemed to have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions:

Prices displayed on rates pages, and special offers displayed throughout the site, are intended as the best possible guide but do not constitute a firm offer or a guarantee of rates for any particular stay. Likewise, any rates shown during the initial enquiry process (i.e. before a supplier has replied with a quote for a specific stay) are intended as the best possible guide but do not constitute a firm offer or a guarantee of rates.

All bookings are subject to the relevant Homeowners and/or the Estate reservation conditions. Customers are responsible for reading and understanding these conditions, which are provided at the time of booking. Nothing on this website represents an offer from pontamalongane.com or its suppliers.

Homeowners and/or the Estate reservations may accept or decline any customer offer.
All arrangements are subject to availability until specifically confirmed. pontamalongane.com provides no guarantees regarding the availability of any featured arrangements. A booking is only confirmed when the Homeowner and/or the Estate reservation accepts the customer’s offer and pontamalongane.com communicates this acceptance to the customer.

Pontamalongane.com acts as an intermediary between customers and Homeowners and/or the Estate reservation. While we aim to provide current and accurate information, final booking terms are subject to the Homeowner and/or the Estate reservation conditions and availability.
We reserve the right to update our website content and booking processes as needed to reflect current Homeowner and/or the Estate reservation policies and market conditions.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY

When you use the Ponta Malongane Accommodation website to request quotes or reserve accommodation or in any way utilise any other services offered via the pontamalongane.com website, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these terms as unmodified by you.

Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house booked – any additional person will be asked to leave.
Please book the correct size house as we cannot change between houses once booked and paid for.
All houses within the estates are privately owned, so if you book a house, you can not change to a different house – cancellation fees will apply.
If a group of young people book at the property, please note that a parent or adult supervisor must accompany guests under 25.

We encourage you to plan and check your leave dates, school schedules, and other important events before confirming your reservation.
As our homeowners reserve and hold the dates exclusively for your booking, they turn away other booking requests, which makes it difficult to accommodate any changes.
Therefore, we are unable to accept postponements for reasons such as cancelled leave, school sports days, weddings, or similar events.
Our standard cancellation terms will apply as set out below.
Please make sure with the rest of your group to ensure that they are available for the dates booked before making payment.

If a reservations check-in date is less than 30 days, the Full payment will be due.
Some houses have special terms – will be sent on enquiry.

The accepted payment terms are as follows: 50% deposit payable directly to Ponta Malongane Accommodation to secure a booking,
of which 30% of the invoice total is non-refundable.
Please note that a standard 30% penalty (cancelation fee) applies to shortened stays or reduced numbers.
High and Peak season dates – Please Note.
During the High and Peak seasons, the estates/ homeowners take back-to-back reservations, so once a booking
is confirmed for the dates you have booked, the dates can not be shortened.
A 100% cancelation fee is charged for dates reduced/ cancelled.

Proof of payment MUST be emailed to res@pontamalongane.com with the client’s name and surname for our reference.
Failure to do so will result in the booking being cancelled without prior notice within 48 hours.

The remainder 50% + the breakage deposit must be paid 30 days before arrival.
If your reservation dates are between 1 December and 31 January, the balance must be paid by 1 November.

Should the proof of payment for the remaining 50% not be received via email to res@pontamalongane.com 30 days before arrival date, the booking will be cancelled.

Cancellations made 60 days before the arrival date are not liable to pay the remaining 50%.
The 30% cancellation fee will apply.

For cancellations made within 1 month before the arrival date, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.

This Proforma invoice is valid for 48hrs and the rate can change without prior notice.

Note: Most establishments will require a refundable “breakage” deposit.
Breakage Deposit refunds can take up to 2 weeks to be paid back. If your Reservation is for December or Early January,
Then the breakage refunds are only paid in January as the Accounts department is closed during December.
If we have to refund the breakage Deposit to a non-South African account, all international banking charges are for the client’s account.
Please report any breakages to the housekeepers before you depart. If you find items broken on your 1st day of
arrival, please report them to the housekeeper so that they can let the homeowner know.

All Bank Charges (Cash Deposits, Credit cards, and foreign payments) will be for the guest’s account.

If Ponta Malongane Accommodation needs to do a foreign payment for refundable breakage deposits, all bank charges are for the client’s account.
No bank charges are refundable.

Travel insurance is highly advisable (Cancellation Insurance).

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we aim to accommodate our customers to the best of our abilities.
However, we kindly request that you take into consideration our policy regarding refunds and cancellations.
Please be aware that no refunds or postponements will be granted due to pregnancy.
We strongly suggest all our valued customers take out comprehensive travel insurance to safeguard against any unexpected situations that might affect their plans.
This will provide an added layer of protection and peace of mind in case any unforeseen events.
We encourage you to plan accordingly and consider this recommendation when making arrangements.
Check with the insurance company on the plans available and that you have adequate cover.

NO PETS are permitted at any of the houses. Loud music, parties and functions will not be allowed.
House rules in all Estates have a noise level cut off of 10:30 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules, the estate will retain the full breakage deposit.
If there are any problems with the above rules not being adhered to, the guests will be asked to leave and the estate will not process any refunds in this regard.
Should you not adhere to these rules, power will be cut to the house and you risk being evicted with loss of your deposit.
Take Note, If you have booked more than 1 house at an Estate, do not move items from the
1 house to another as the staff will report this to the homeowner which will affect the refund of the breakage deposit.

PLEASE NOTE THAT CHECK IN IS FROM 2 PM AND CHECK OUT IS BY 10 AM.
Late check-out fees will be on your invoice.
IF YOU HAVE BOOKED OVER DECEMBER DATES, LATE CHECK-OUTS ARE NOT PERMITTED DUE TO BACK-TO-BACK RESERVATIONS.
Late check out is on request only.
This is due to incoming bookings on the day of your departure.
Should the house be available, we will deduct the extra charge from your breakage deposit.
If there is a new client checking in on your departure date and you have not departed the house by 10 am, the full breakage deposit will be forfeited.
Early Check-ins are NOT PERMITTED – if you arrive earlier for check-in you will have to wait until 2 pm.

The client undertakes to take the necessary malaria precautions. Please consult your doctor

The client undertakes to obtain a Valid Passport – It is IMPORTANT to check that the passports are valid before paying for your reservation.
Passports must be valid for 1 month after the return date for South African passport holders and 6 months after the return date for international passport holders.
Take Note that South African passports for Adults are valid for 10 years and 5 years for Children.
A regular tourist passport contains 32 pages.
Tourist passports: persons 16 years and older and maxi tourist passports are only issued to SA citizens 16 years or older. These passports are valid for 10 years.
Tourist passports: persons under 16 years are issued to SA citizens who are aged 15 years or younger. These passports are valid for 5 years.
Passports cannot be renewed. Once the validity period of a passport expires, you will have to submit a new application for a passport.
Passports must be valid for 30 days after the intended date of departure.
Ensure that your passport has two blank facing pages – one for the visa and one for an entry stamp.
Passports should also have at least two blank pages for entry stamps. The blank pages cannot include the “endorsement” page at the back of the book. If you need a visa, you must

No refunds or postponements will be permitted if you or any member of your booking group does not have a valid passport.

Visa required for Non-SA Passport Holders. We will need to do an invitation letter to apply for the visa, please let us know before you travel.
It is best to pre-apply for a Visa at the Mozambique Consulate General. It can take 21 days for them to issue a visa.
or online using the e-visa website www.evisa.gov.mz/
You can get a Visa at the border, but if the visa computer is not working, they will ask you to enter through one of the other borders into Mozambique.
Please note that should a visa be denied, no refunds or postponements will be permitted.

Children under the age of 18 years – Parents traveling internationally with children would now be requested to provide an unabridged birth certificate
(including the details of the child’s father as well as the mother) of all traveling children. This applies even when both
parents are traveling with their children and it also applies to foreigners and South Africans alike.
When children are traveling with guardians, these adults are required to produce affidavits from both parents providing
permission for the children to travel.
Parents need to note that unabridged birth certificate applications can take anything from six to eight
weeks to complete and sometimes longer.

Ponta Malongane Accommodation www.pontamalongane.com does not accept responsibility for the accommodation or trips featured on the site.
If during the holiday you have any reason for complaint or dissatisfaction, you should
contact the establishment manager on-site or activity supplier so that remedial action may be taken.
Please ask the staff at the house establishment for contact details.

Force Majeure – Neither party shall be liable to the other for any failure to perform any obligation under any |
The agreement is due to an event beyond the control of such party including but not limited to any Act of God,
terrorism, war, Political insurgency, insurrection, riot, civil unrest, the act of civil or military authority, uprising, earthquake, flood, Pandemic
or any other natural or man-made eventuality outside of our control, which causes the termination of an agreement or contract entered into,
nor which could have been reasonably foreseen.
Any Party affected by such event shall forthwith inform the other Party of the same and shall use all reasonable endeavours
to comply with the terms and conditions of any Agreement contained herein.
Therefore, it is highly recommended to take out travel insurance
A force majeure event could prevent you from enjoying your holiday, which is why it is an essential part of your travel insurance cover.
Although cover is easy to overlook – should a natural disaster occur before you are due to travel or during your holiday – this policy could end up saving you a lot of money.

The client accepts the potentially inefficient, unpredictable nature of Mozambique
and will not hold Ponta Malongane Accommodation and its resorts/ estates/ estate reservations/ homeowner
(as stated above) responsible for mishaps, delays, cancellations, bad weather, acts of God, strikes,
protest, lockout or other labour disputes or disruptions, wars, blockades, insurrections, riots, earthquakes, weather conditions, floods
or acts of restraints imposed by governmental authorities. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
Important Notes:
External factors (Travel insurance, travel advisories) are outside our terms.
Client are responsible for their own travel Insurance.

Our Properties are located in the Ponta do Ouro, Ponta Malongane, Ponta Mamoli and Santa Maria areas of Southern Mozambique.
Border Access and Alternative Routes
In the event that the Lebombo/Ressano Garcia Border Post is closed due to protest action,
riots, or other unforeseen circumstances, guests are required to access their accommodation via one of the following alternative routes:
1. Namaacha Border Post or Goba Border Post through Eswatini
2. Kosi Bay – Farazela Border Post
It is the guest’s responsibility to plan accordingly and ensure compliance with the relevant entry requirements for alternative border crossings.
No refunds or compensation will be provided for inconveniences caused by such closures.

It is not allowed to sell or consume alcoholic beverages on any of the beaches in Mozambique.

Ponta Malongane Accommodation Commission is non-refundable.
Ponta Malongane Accommodation does not accept responsibility for accommodations or trips featured on the website.
Any complaints should be directed to the Homeowner or activity supplier.
