Terms and Conditions

In using this website, you are deemed to have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions: In the event of a conflict between the Website Terms and Conditions of Use of this website and any specific terms applicable, and only to the extent of the conflict, the more specific term will apply. By accepting this agreement, you also do so on behalf of all travelers included in your bookings made through The Company’s website or services and represent that you have the authority to do so.

Prices displayed on rates pages, and special offers displayed throughout the site, are intended as the best possible guide but do not constitute a firm offer or a guarantee of rates for any particular stay. Likewise, any rates shown during the initial enquiry process (i.e. before a supplier has replied with a quote for a specific stay) are intended as the best possible guide but do not constitute a firm offer or a guarantee of rates.
All bookings for accommodation and activities are subject to the booking conditions of the relevant supplier. Customers are responsible for reading the supplier’s booking conditions of which you are advised at the time of booking.
Nothing on this website constitutes an offer on our part or on the part of the suppliers. The matters detailed constitute an invitation to you to make an offer on the stated terms to purchase the arrangements featured. Our suppliers may accept or decline any such offer. All arrangements featured or referred to are at all times prior to specific confirmation subject to availability and no warranties, promises or representations are given as to availability.

Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house booked – any additional person will be asked to leave.

If a reservation check-in date is less than 30 days, the Full payment will be due.
The generally accepted payment terms are as follows: 50% deposit payable directly to Ponta Malongane Accommodation to secure a booking,
of which 30% of the invoice total is non-refundable.
Please note a standard 30% penalty is applicable on shortened stays or reduced number of guests if a per person rate was quoted.

Proof of payment MUST be emailed to res@pontamalongane.com with the client’s name and surname for our reference.
Failure to do so will result in the booking being canceled without prior notice within 48 hours.
A ProForma invoice is valid for 48hrs and the rate can change without prior notice.

The remainder 50% + the breakage deposit must be paid 30 days before arrival.
If your reservation dates are between 1 December and 31 January then the balance must be paid by 1 November.

Should the proof of payment for the remaining 50% not be received via email to res@pontamalongane.com 30 days before the arrival date the booking will be canceled.

Please note that the houses we book are within estates and are privately owned and once paid for, you can not change to a different house.

Cancellations made 60 days before the arrival date are not liable to pay the remaining 50%.

For cancellations made within 1 month before the arrival date, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.

Note: Establishments will require a refundable breakage deposit.
Breakage Deposit refunds can take up to 2 weeks to be paid back. If your Reservation is for December or Early January, Then the breakage refunds are only paid in January as the Accounts department is closed during Dec.

NO PETS are permitted at any of the houses.  Loud music, parties, and functions will not be allowed.
House rules in all Estates have a noise level cut-off of 10:30 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules the estate will retain the full breakage deposit.
If there are any problems with the above rules not being adhered to, the guests will be asked to leave and the estate will not process any refunds in this regard.
Should you not adhere to these rules, power will be cut to the house and you risk being evicted with loss of your deposit.
Take Note, If you have booked more than 1 house at an Estate, do not move items from 1 house to another as the staff will report this to the homeowner which will affect the refund of the breakage deposit.

PLEASE NOTE THAT CHECK-IN IS FROM 2 PM AND CHECK-OUT IS BY 10 AM.
Late check-out CAN be requested and the cost is R 800.00 (Mzn 4000.00) –
time 2:30 pm. Subject to availability.
Any later check out (After 2:30 pm) the full breakage deposit will be held back.
Late checkout is on request only.
This is due to incoming bookings on the day of your departure.
Should the house be available, we will deduct the extra charge of R800.00 from your breakage deposit.

All Bank Charges (Cash Deposits, Credit cards, and foreign payments) will be for the guest’s account.

If Ponta Malongane Accommodation needs to do a foreign payment additional Bank Charges will reflect on your invoice above. No bank charges are refundable.

Travel insurance is advisable (Cancellation Insurance).

The client undertakes to take the necessary malaria precautions.

The client undertakes to obtain a Valid Passport – It is IMPORTANT to check that the passports are valid before paying for your reservation.
Passports must be valid for 1 month after the return date for South African passport holders and 6 months after the return date for international passport holders.
Take Note that South African passports for Adults are valid for 10 years and 5 years for Children.
A regular tourist passport contains 32 pages.
Tourist passports: persons 16 years and older and maxi tourist passports are only issued to SA citizens 16 years or older. These passports are valid for 10 years.
Tourist passports: persons under 16 years are issued to SA citizens who are aged 15 years or younger. These passports are valid for 5 years.

Passports cannot be renewed. Once the validity period of a passport expires you will have to submit a new application for a passport.
Passports must be valid for 30 days after the intended date of departure.
Ensure that your passport has two blank pages – one for the visa and one for an entry stamp.
Passports should also have at least two blank pages for entry stamps. The blank pages cannot include the “endorsement” page at the back of the book. If you need a visa, you must ensure that your passport has two blank-facing pages – one for the visa and one for an entry stamp.

No refunds or postponements will be permitted if you or any member of your booking group does not have a valid passport.
Visa required for Non-SA Passport Holders. We will need to do an invitation letter to apply for the visa, please let us know before you travel.
It is best to pre-apply for a Visa at the Mozambique Consulate General. It can take 21 days for them to issue a visa. or online using the e-visa website www.evisa.gov.mz/
You can get a Visa at the border but if the visa computer is not working, they will ask you to enter through one of the other borders into Mozambique.
Please note that should a visa be denied, no refunds or postponements will be permitted.

Children under the age of 18 years – Parents traveling internationally with children would now be requested to provide an unabridged birth certificate
(including the details of the child’s father as well as the mother) of all traveling children. This applies even when both
parents are traveling with their children and it also applies to foreigners and South Africans alike.
When children are traveling with guardians, these adults are required to produce affidavits from both parents providing
permission for the children to travel.
Parents need to note that unabridged birth certificate applications can take anything from six to eight
weeks to complete and sometimes longer.
Ponta Malongane Accommodation www.pontamalongane.com does not accept responsibility for the accommodation or trips featured on the site.
If during the holiday you have any reason for complaint or dissatisfaction you should
contact the establishment manager on-site or activity supplier so that remedial action may be taken.
Please ask the staff at the house establishment for contact details.

Force Majeure – Neither party shall be liable to the other for any failure to perform any obligation under any |
The agreement is due to an event beyond the control of such party including but not limited to any Act of God,
terrorism, war, Political insurgence, insurrection, riot, civil unrest, the act of civil or military authority, uprising, earthquake, flood, Pandemic
or any other natural or man-made eventuality outside of our control, which causes the termination of an agreement or contract entered into,
nor which could have been reasonably foreseen.
Any Party affected by such event shall forthwith inform the other Party of the same and shall use all reasonable endeavors
to comply with the terms and conditions of any Agreement contained herein.

It is not allowed to sell or consume alcoholic beverages on any of the beaches in Mozambique.
