Booking & Cancellation Policy:
1 Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house booked – any additional person will be asked to leave.
2 If a reservations check-in date is less than 30 days time, the Full payment will be due.
3 If your reservation is for check-in within 2 days, A credit card payment will be required at an additional Zar 150.00 per transaction.
4 If the Refundable breakage deposit is requested to be refunded to a credit card, the additional Zar R 150.00 will be charged.
5 The generally accepted payment terms are as follows: 50% deposit payable directly to Ponta Malongane Accommodation to secure a booking,
of which 30% of the invoice total is non-refundable. Please note that a standard 30% penalty is applicable on shortened stays or reduced numbers.
6 Proof of payment MUST be emailed to res@pontamalongane.com with the client’s name and surname for our reference.
Failure to do so will result in the booking being cancelled without prior notice within 48 hours.
7 This ProForma invoice is valid for 48hrs and the rate can change without prior notice.
8 The remainder 50% + the breakage deposit must be paid 30 days before arrival.
But if your reservation dates are between 1 December and 31 January then the balance must be paid by 1 November
9 The Breakage deposit is calculated at an exchange rate of 5 for Mozambique account holders and the same rate will be used if any breakages occur.
10 Should the proof of payment for the remaining 50% not be received via email to res@pontamalongane.com 30 days before
arrival date the booking will be cancelled.
11 Cancellations made 60 days before the arrival date are not liable to pay the remaining 50%.
12 Cancellations made within 1 month before arrival date a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
13 Note: some establishments will require a refundable “breakage” deposit.
14 All Bank Charges (Cash Deposits, Credit cards and foreign payments) will be for the guest’s own account.
15 If Ponta Malongane Accommodation needs to do a foreign payment additional Bank Charges will reflect on your invoice above.
16 No bank charges are refundable.
17 If a credit card payment is processed there is an R 150.00 service fee charged per transaction.
This charge will also occur when we refund the breakage deposit should you not have a bank account to transfer to.
18 Travel insurance is advisable (Cancellation Insurance).

19 The client undertakes to take the necessary malaria precautions and obtain a valid passport
which must be valid for 1 month after the return date for South African passport holders and 6 months after the return date for international passport holders.
20 Visa required for Non-SA Passport Holders.
21 Children under the age of 18 years – Parents travelling internationally with children would now be requested to provide an unabridged birth certificate
(including the details of the child’s father as well as the mother) of all travelling children. This applies even when both
parents are travelling with their children and it also applies to foreigners and South Africans alike.
22 When children are travelling with guardians, these adults are required to produce affidavits from both parents providing
permission for the children to travel.
23 It is important for parents to note that unabridged birth certificate applications can take anything from six to eight
weeks to complete and sometimes longer.
24 Ponta Malongane Accommodation www.pontamalongane.com does not accept responsibility for the accommodation or trips featured on the site.
25 If during the course of the holiday you have any reason for complaint or dissatisfaction you should
contact the establishment manager on-site or activity supplier in order that remedial action may be taken.
Please ask the staff at the house establishment for contact details.
26 The client and all members travelling with will need to have a negative covid-19 test not older than 72 hours
from the date of the swab being taken to enter Mozambique and to Return to South Africa.
On your return to Moz to South Africa, you can opt to do a Rapid test on exit. This is done on the South African side.
Currently, children under 11 years are exempt from PCR testing SA into Moz and Under 5 years Moz back into SA.
Should children show Covid-19 symptoms – they will require to be tested.
Should any person/s test positive for COVID-19 prior to arrival and not be able to travel, no refund or postponement will be permitted.
27 Force Majeure – Neither party shall be liable to the other for any failure to perform any obligation under any |
The agreement is due to an event beyond the control of such party including but not limited to any Act of God,
terrorism, war, Political insurgence, insurrection, riot, civil unrest, the act of civil or military authority, uprising, earthquake, flood, Pandemic
or any other natural or man-made eventuality outside of our control, which causes the termination of an agreement or contract entered into,
nor which could have been reasonably foreseen.
Any Party affected by such event shall forthwith inform the other Party of the same and shall use all reasonable endeavours
to comply with the terms and conditions of any Agreement contained herein.
28 From time to time the beaches in Mozambique are closed due to Covid-19 – the estates/ properties that we book do not allow
for the Postponements of reservations due to beach closure. The only time they will allow for a postponement is if all the borders
Into Mozambique close over your reservation dates. In this case, they allow for a postponement to be used within 12 months
of the postponement date. Subject to availability and rate changes.
29 Covid-19 Regulations and Restrictions
Please be aware that restrictions and alert levels are subject to change per evolving Governmental directives,
this relates to the South African Government directives as well as the Mozambique Government directives.

Should you be unable to travel to your destination and honour your booking due to Covid-19 restrictions that relate to
border closure or provincial lockdown we will issue you with a postponement voucher.
Should any person/s test positive for COVID-19 before arrival and not be able to travel, no refund or postponement will be permitted.
The value of this voucher is to be used within 12 months of you notifying us that you want to postpone your booking.
Should you not rebook within the stipulated 12months this voucher will be null and void (a 100% cancellation fee will apply).
The full value of the voucher must be used at the same Property originally booked (not interchangeable) and
is subject to availability and rate increase at the time of rebooking.
There will be no monetary refund should your new dates of travel fall in a lower season,
this will be carried over as a credit on a future booking.
Clients are not given the first option when they rebook and this is subject to availability.
Should any person/s test positive before arrival no refund or postponement will be permitted.
This also applies should the beaches be closed at the time of travel.
