ALOHA 5

Aloha 5 sleeps 20 guests and offers 6 luxuriously appointed, air-conditioned units with direct beach access. The views from Aloha 5 are breathtaking, and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the spacious suites and entertainment area exploit them beautifully. With 100 meters of beach frontage, numerous viewing decks, and a large seated firepit and outdoor lounge are positioned close to the beach.

Aloha 5 is the perfect option for those with a large family or group of friends with more discerning tastes.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE – If you are booking Aloha 5 and additional houses at Aloha or in the area, no people/guests from other houses are allowed to gather or have meals for any reason. Our infrastructure cannot handle it.

The private rooms all lead by a walkway to the entertainment area, where you can look out over the warm Indian Ocean.

Aloha 5 is located approximately a 30-minute drive from the Kosi Bay border, in the Aloha Estate. The road leading to Aloha 5 is a sandy road and accessible by vehicles with a 2×4 diff lock configuration or a 4×4 vehicle.

Sleeping Arrangements

Aloha 5 – The private and modern villa sleeps 20 guests in 6 tastefully decorated bedrooms.
NOTE: The bedrooms are not under 1 roof – each bedroom is a pod separate from 
the main kitchen/ lounge area.

Bedroom 1 – (100 m²)
Californian King bed. 
An intimate, glass-fronted suite with a private veranda. Features an elegant contemporary design with chandeliers, feather sofas, and mirrored accents. The granite bathroom includes a large shower and a chandelier-lit bathtub overlooking the sea, plus a separate toilet and bidet.

Bedroom 2 – (72 m²)
Californian King bed. 
A beautifully styled suite with a private veranda and 180° uninterrupted sea views. Overlooks milkwood trees and the crystal-clear Indian Ocean. Includes a spacious en-suite bathroom with a large shower and separate toilet.

Bedroom 3 – (72 m²)
Californian King bed.

Bedroom 4 –
6 Sumptuous ¾ beds with oversized pillows and Egyptian cotton sheets.
The granite en-suite bathroom has a separate dressing area and is equipped with a hairdryer and an x10 LED lit mirror.

Bedroom 5 –

Bedroom 6 – (55 m²)
Californian King bed. 
A comfortable ocean-facing suite with a private veranda and a cosy feather-couch seating area. Includes an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet.

General Room Amenities. 
Air conditioning (plus high-performance fans where applicable).
Bedside lamp & emergency light.
En-suite bathrooms with showers.
x10 LED-lit vanity mirrors.
Hairdryers in rooms 1/ 4/ 5, and 6.
Gowns & disposable slippers.

All linen is provided, and bath towels are provided.
Please note – Towels are changed after 4 days due to the limited water supply from the borehole.

It is important to note that beds or mattresses from the beds can not be moved from one bedroom to another, as they might get damaged, so this is not allowed.

Your Space –

Entertainment Area.

The decor combines sophisticated chandeliers, numerous sculptures, and fine art oil paintings with contemporary charm. The elegantly decorated lounges and dining area can be closed with sliding glass doors to provide a warmer atmosphere for those cool evenings.
Guests can absorb the amazing views of the ocean while reading a book from the selection provided in our library.
A large rectangular bar in the lounge area is positioned for maximum sporting and movie watching on a normal-sized flat screen TV with FULL DSTV.
The indoor oak dining tables comfortably seat 20.
There is a separate toilet and basin in the main building.

A fully fitted kitchen and scullery have everything you could wish for in a kitchen and are equipped with a stove and oven, kettle, toaster, mixer, and juicer, along with a microwave, silver bain-marie, portion servers, and a waffle machine.
A Wide selection of pots, stock pots, and paella pans to create exotic holiday cuisine. A walk-in fridge, pantry, and freezer complete this well-stocked Kitchen.
For coffee lovers, we have installed a commercial coffee brewing machine with a separate coffee grinder. ( so don’t forget the coffee beans!)
There is a steel French press for those who want to help themselves to good coffee, whilst the barista is not on duty
2 Ladies are available to assist in chopping and preparing.
They do not cook.
Please supply all your ingredients, including spices, oil, etc.

The outdoor entertainment has a wood-burning pizza oven and a gas braai.
The outdoor bar, complete with an ice machine, overlooks the 8m circular, rim flow pool with a water feature, seating stools in the pool, and an entertainment platform. Pool lounges are supplied for comfort and enjoyment at the house. There are two large lounge areas and outdoor dining tables comfortably seating 20.  

(Please take your own beach chairs and beach umbrellas if you would like to take them down to the beach).

There is a fire pit at the bottom of the house. Please take your firewood.

The total roofed area is just under 1000 m2.

REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 10 000.00 is payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages, lost keys, and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded to your bank account.
Please report any breakages to the Manager and housekeepers before you depart.
If you find items broken on your 1st day of arrival, please report them to the housekeeper so that they can let the homeowner know.

Staff – 
Maryna and her team are ushering in a new era of top-notch service, where every stay is an adventure and every moment is meticulously crafted for an unparalleled experience. Maryna, the lady behind the scenes at Aloha 5, with an impressive resume boasting years of hospitality finesse, is the secret ingredient that’s about to take your Aloha 5 experience to a whole new level. 
There is a team of dedicated staff who find real joy in service to their guests. 
Staff tips are not compulsory; however, a gratuity of
R 25.00 to R 50.00 per staff member per day is suggested and handed to the Manager.
We have 2 ladies who will assist with chopping and prepping – They do not cook.
Please supply all your ingredients, including spices, oil, etc.
Our Housekeeping and Maintenance staff are truly dedicated and very helpful.
Night security is in place every night for peace of mind.
Staff Hours are 7 am to 4 pm. Tuesdays to Saturdays.
Sundays and Mondays – 7 am to 12 pm.
Should you require the kitchen staff to assist outside of these hours, they are available for no more than 3 additional hrs per day, at a rate of
R 30.00 per hour. Guests are to please arrange with the manager.

Our Housekeeping staff will gladly assist with your washing at a rate of
R 150.00 per bundle. Please arrange with the manager.

The Estate uses borehole water, which is usually brownish in colour and could stain your washing.

Important information:
If you are booking more than 1 house, please note that no outside guests or people from neighbouring houses are permitted to gather or have meals at Aloha 5.
Under no circumstances is this house allowed to be booked for
any function or event whatsoever. This includes birthday parties, weddings, and any other function and/or event. 

If the property is booked by a group of young guests, please note that no guests under the age of 25 are permitted without parental or adult supervision. Passports will be checked before arrival.

SWIMMING POOL: Please do not dive into the pool. All use of the pool is at your own risk. All children must be supervised by parents when around the pool area. Strictly no glass in the pool. Please rinse the sand off your feet before entering the pool.
(The swimming pool does NOT have safety nets)
Please note that things left outside at night are usually very wet in the morning due to the high level of humidity and condensation in the air.

BEACH ACCESS: To access the beach, please use the walkways provided to protect the dunes against erosion.

Note – although Wifi / TV and air conditioning are provided, sometimes there are technical issues and it might not work. Because the estate is located in a remote area, the problem might not be fixed at the same time; it might take a day or more to get it working if a technician has to come out.
Do not rely on it if you want to watch sports or the wifi if you need to be online to work, etc. If it does not work, please report the issue to the staff, who will inform the homeowner to try and resolve the problem.

Guest Access –

An off-road 4X4 vehicle is essential for access to the area and Aloha Beach Estate; otherwise, secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter, you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.

General – 

If you are flying into Maputo. Maputo has large shopping malls with Woolworths, Checkers, Game, etc. There is a grocery store, butchery, and bottle store in Malongane, and numerous restaurants and barracas (bars)

• If you don’t have a 4×4 vehicle, you can leave your car on the South African side of the border. There is a fee to park your vehicle there.
  We will then put you in contact with the guy who does our transfers to get the rates, etc.
  Once you are at the house, everything you require is there.
• All cleaning materials are provided.
• All pool and bath towels are provided. (Please take your own Beach Towels).
• Please note: The pool does not have a safety net.
  No glass is allowed in the pool area.
  Please use the wheat straw tableware and plastic glasses provided
• No smoking indoors. Ashtrays are provided outdoors.
• The washing machine is to be operated by the staff only. If you would like laundry done, it is R150 per load
• Massages: Massages are NOT available on site, but can be arranged via the Manager. Subject to availability. 
• Please take note: Under no circumstances is this house allowed to be booked for any function or event whatsoever. This includes birthday parties, weddings, and  any   other function and/or event

Other Things To Note –

Please take note that the swimming pool does not have a child safety net.
Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case.
Re generator. The Generator is for EMERGENCY supply only. Can only do lights, 1 kettle, a TV, and maybe a fridge or 2. NO aircon or Geysers can be run with it. 
Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes. Mozambique SIM cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices. The Estate uses borehole water, which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the Ponta Malongane village. It is advisable to bring OR buy bottled drinking water.

Please note we make use of a septic system and don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper. Guests must bring their own consumables e.g., food and liquids, mosquito repellent,  etc.
Keys to the unit can be collected from the housekeeper on arrival.

House Rules –

Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
Late check-out Fee – R 3000.00
Late check-out is on request only.
This is due to incoming bookings on the day of your departure.
Should the house be available, we will deduct R 3000.00 from your refundable breakage deposit. The late check-out time is 3 pm. 
Any later and they will retain the full breakage deposit.
Please stick to the check-in and check-out times to avoid issues.

Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house – any additional person will be asked to leave. The homeowners at the estate get fined if additional guests stay at the house. This will affect the refund of the breakage deposit.

No smoking.
Strictly No pets.
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules, then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.

Housekeeping Reminder.

To help us keep every home perfectly equipped for our guests, we kindly ask that all items — including crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other household items — remain in the house where they belong.
If you’ve booked more than one home, please avoid moving items between them. This ensures each property stays fully stocked and ready for the next guests to enjoy. 
Please note that any missing or misplaced items may be deducted from the breakage deposit.

Swimming Pool –
The swimming pool at all the houses has no safety features.
Use of the swimming pool and the associated amenities and facilities is strictly at your own risk. Ponta Malongane Accommodation, Homeowner, and the Estate booked at cannot be held responsible in the event of accidental injury and or death.

Swimming in the Ocean
We would like to extend a crucial reminder to all visitors planning to swim in the beautiful waters of Mozambique. 
While the allure of Mozambique’s pristine beaches may be enticing, it is imperative to exercise extreme caution when venturing into the ocean.
We regret to inform you that many beaches in Mozambique lack signpost warnings and are not equipped with lifeguards.
significantly increasing the risks associated with swimming.
One of the most significant dangers to be aware of is the presence of rip tides.
These powerful currents can swiftly pull even the strongest swimmers out to sea, posing a grave threat to your safety.
Without proper signage or lifeguards to guide you, it is vital to remain vigilant and heed any natural warnings, such as sudden changes in water color or unusually strong currents.
In light of these hazards, we strongly advise all visitors to exercise caution and refrain from swimming alone. Always inform someone on the land of your plans,
And never underestimate the power of the ocean.

Indemnity: Aloha 5, their holding companies, or any other associated company, the person(s) or trust, shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to any guest(s), or their property, caused through whatever nature, or by any acts, or any person(s). The person signing the guest registration form will be held liable for payment of all outstanding invoices should any problem with payment occur. Please note that there are no lifeguards at the pool or at Ponta Mamoli Beach. Children swimming in the swimming pool must be kept under adult supervision at all times.

Cancellation Policy –

Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival, 70% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival 0% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
