Baleia Azul 15 is located in Ponta Mamoli within the Baleia Azul Estate. Not too far away from the sea, this residence inspires peace, tranquillity, and an overall sunny feeling.
Sliding doors open to the entertaining deck off of the living areas to the open sky and natural landscape.

Baleia Azul 15 showcases 4 bedroom cottages standing separate from the main living area – built in the form of a lodge.

Sleeping Arrangements

Baleia Azul House 15 sleeps 16 guests in 4 en-suite bedrooms.
Bedroom 1 – 1 King-size bed. En-suite. Air-Conditioned.
Loft room with 2 single beds.
Bedroom 2 – 1 King-size bed. En-suite. Air-Conditioned.
Loft room with 2 single beds.
Bedroom 3 – 1 King-size bed. En-suite. Air-Conditioned.

The Luxury Cloud Nine king-size beds can be moved apart to make 2 single beds.
The lofts are relatively small but are more than suitable for children. Adults can definitely sleep in the lofts but will be unable to stand up straight. (Approx height 1.5 meters).
In each room, there is a bar fridge and a small private deck.
The En suite bathroom consists of a large shower, a separate toilet, and a hand basin.

All linen is provided and bath towels are provided.

Your Space

Baleia Azul 15 – The open plan lounge/dining and kitchen opens up to the outdoor terrace with a private pool. (The swimming pool Does NOT have safety nets)
A boma area at the back of the house with a fireplace and braai.

DSTV in the central living area.
DSTV decoder and card are supplied, so no need to bring your own.
Wi-Fi is available at the house, just ask the staff for the password.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a
Fridge/freezer.
Stove/oven.
Microwave.
Ice machine.
And all the equipment that you would require in a kitchen for self-catering.
All cleaning materials are supplied.

Washing machine (only the housekeeper can operate the washing machine, you need to take your own washing powder with you. Laundry can be done at R150 per laundry bag.

The water comes from a borehole. It is advisable to take drinking water with you.

Frederico’s snorkeling spot is a short 10-minute stroll down the beach.
Ensure you take snorkeling gear along!

There is an entry and exit permit that you need to get at the entrance gate to the Estate, the cost is R 100.00. Remember to hand this permit back when you leave and collect your R 100.00.
There is a public launch site available at R 100.00 per launch.

Guest Access –

An off-road 4X4 vehicle is essential for access to the area and Baleia Azul Beach Estate, otherwise secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.

Staff Tip –

There is a compulsory daily staff tip – Housekeeping staff will be there from 8H00 to 13H00 duties include: washing dishes, making beds, and cleaning inside and outside.
Please tip at your discretion.

Other Things To Note –

Please take note that the swimming pool does not have a child safety net.
Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case. Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes. Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices. The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the Ponta Malongane village It is advisable to bring OR buy bottled drinking water.

Please note we make use of a septic system and don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper. Guests must bring their own consumables e.g. (food and liquids, mosquito repellent,  etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the housekeeper on arrival.

REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 3000.00 is payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages and lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded to your bank account. Please report any breakages to the housekeepers before you depart. If you find items broken on your 1st day of arrival, please report them to the housekeeper so that they can let the homeowner know.

House Rules –

Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
Late check-out is on request only. This is due to incoming bookings on the day of your departure. Should the house be available, we will deduct the extra charge of R800.00 from your refundable breakage deposit. The latest check-out time is
14:30 pm – any later and they will retain the full breakage deposit.  

Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house – any additional person will be asked to leave. The homeowners at the estate get fined if there are additional guests staying at the house. This will affect the refund of the breakage deposit. 

No smoking.
No pets.
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.

Cancellation Policy –

Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival 70% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival 0% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
*Service fees are non-refundable.
