Naudicals Dune at Tierras Del Mar Estate in Ponta Malongane – Kick off your shoes, switch off your mobile phone, and navigate your way towards Ponta Malongane which is an exciting 12 km drive from the border post. Once you reach the quaint village of Ponta Malongane, Tierras del Mar is 1.8 km north of the village towards Ponta Mamoli.

For the 4X4 enthusiast, this is the ideal destination to test his/her 4X4 skills or if you prefer to leave your vehicle in South Africa, we can arrange for a border transfer to get you to Tierras del Mar.
Please note that a 4×4 is required to reach the estate (You need to reduce tyre pressure by 1,2 – 1,5 bars max)
No 2×4 vehicles will be permitted on the premises as they are damaging the roads on the estate.

Naudicals Dune house is approximately 50 meters walk down to the beach via a direct pathway leading from the house. The house is located on the dune.

Sleeping Arrangements

Naudicals Dune – sleeps 14 people and offers 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
Room configuration:
Bedroom 1 – King bed + a sleeper couch that can accommodate 2 kids – sleeps 4 – En-suite. 
Bedroom 2 – Queen bed + 1 x bunk bed – sleeps 4 – En-suite.
Bedroom 3 – Queen bed – sleeps 2 – En-suite. 
Bedroom 4 – Queen bed + 2 single beds – sleeps 4 – En-suite.
The main bedroom (1) has a door leading onto the deck.
All linen as well as Beach and Bath towels are provided
All 4 bedrooms are air-conditioned (cooling and heating) as well as ceiling fans. There are no mosquito nets but the bedroom windows have gauze to keep those pesky mosquitos at bay while letting the sea breeze in.

We have a Reverse Osmosis water filter.

We offer a full DSTV package and a Music entertainment system. The wifi is on a pay-as-you-go basis. The house is also fitted with Solar Power so you can still enjoy your favourite game should the power go out.

There is an outside shower on the deck to rinse off after your day on the beach and a separate guest loo with basin & toilet is available for your convenience.
The sparkling pool is situated on the deck with stunning views of the ocean and an outside bar to relax and enjoy a sundowner or two.
There is a wood braai on the same deck.
We have ample seating as well as loungers to soak up the sun.
The Boma braai area is on a separate level with a small walkway leading down to it.
The first night’s wood will be supplied thereafter you will need to top up.

There is also a games room for those rainy days or evenings which has a Pool table, Dartboard, and Air hockey for the family to enjoy.
Our 2nd bar is inside the house in the main living area.

All cleaning materials are supplied as well as toilet paper.
The house is serviced daily by the housekeeper and a general worker/gardener. He will offload your luggage to and from your cars as well as assist you in taking cooler boxes etc to the beach. He is also available to wash your cars. The staff will set up the chairs/loungers around the pool and will always ensure there is plenty of ice available for your drinks. Entry to the Teirras del Mar state is only accessible via the Security gate which is strictly controlled. There are also day/night guards who patrol the estate for your safety. There is covered car parking for up to 4 cars

The swimming pool at this house has no safety features. Use of the swimming pool and the associated amenities and facilities is strictly at your own risk.

Guest Access –

An off-road 4X4 vehicle is essential for access to the area and Tierras Del Mar Estate, otherwise, secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.

REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 5000.00 payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages and lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded to your bank account.

Staff Fee –

There is a compulsory daily staff fee of R 70.00 per day per staff member (2 staff)
Please ensure you have enough cash on you to pay on your departure day.
This includes the day of your arrival and day of departure

Other Things To Note –

Power cuts in the area are a challenge and out of our control. Please bring torches just in case. During peak season, the area experiences a lot of power failures due to the amount of people staying in the area. Please be aware of this

Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes. Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices. The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the Ponta Malongane village It is advisable to bring OR buy bottled drinking water.

Please note we make use of a septic system and don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper. Guests must bring their consumables e.g. (food and liquids, mosquito repellent,  etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the housekeeper on arrival.

House Rules –

Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
Late check-out Fee – R 1500.00
Late check-out is on request only.
This is due to incoming bookings on the day of your departure.
Should the house be available, we will deduct the R 1500.00 from your refundable breakage deposit. The late check-out time is 3 pm. 
Any later and they will retain the full breakage deposit.
Please stick to the check-in and check-out times to avoid issues.

Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house – any additional person will be asked to leave. The homeowners at the estate get fined if there are additional guests staying at the house. This will affect the refund of the breakage deposit.
No smoking.
No pets.
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.

*Service fees are non-refundable.
