Aloha 17 is a fully equipped self-catering villa that provides a home-away-from-home experience with spacious interiors, modern amenities, and picturesque views of the Indian Ocean.
Secluded and Tranquil: Located in a private and peaceful area, Aloha 17 offers the ideal setting to unwind and connect with nature, away from the crowds.

The road to Aloha 17 is a sandy road accessible only by a 4×4 vehicle.

2026 Rates
Aloha 17 – Sleeps 9.
Low midweek (Sunday – Thursday) – R 3000.00 per night for the first 4 people + R 250.00 per person per night thereafter. Capped at R 4250.00 per night.
Low weekend (Fri and Sat) – R 4250.00 per night.
High season = R 5600.00 per night.
Peak season – R 8000.00 per night.
Refundable breakage deposit – R 4000.00

NOTE: The bedrooms are not under 1 roof – each bedroom is a separate pod from
The main kitchen/ lounge area.
Bedroom 1 – (Master Suite): King-size bed with an adjoining room featuring 3 single beds. 
Ideal for families with children. The suite boasts both indoor and outdoor showers and a luxurious bathtub.

Bedroom 2 – Double bed with a bunk bed (2 single beds), comfortably accommodating 4 guests.
This room also offers both indoor and outdoor showers.

Aloha 17 can sleep up to 9 guests comfortably, making it perfect for larger families or small groups.

All linen and bath towels are provided, but please bring your beach towels.

It is important to note that beds or mattresses from the bedrooms can not be moved from one bedroom to another, as they might get damaged, so this is not allowed.

Important information:
If you are booking more than 1 house, please note that No outside guests or people from neighbouring houses are permitted to gather or have meals at Aloha 17.
Under no circumstances is this house allowed to be booked for
any function or event whatsoever. This includes birthday parties, weddings, and any other function and/or event. Aloha 17 can accommodate a maximum of 14 people.

Note – although Wi-Fi, DSTV, and air conditioning are provided, sometimes there are technical issues and they might not work. Because the estate is located in a remote area, the problem might not be fixed at the same time; it might take a day or more to get it working if a technician has to come out.
Do not rely on it if you want to watch sports, etc, nor the wifi if you need to be online to work, etc.
If it does not work, please report the issue to the staff, who will inform the homeowner to try to resolve the problem.

Location:
Located in a secure estate in Ponta Mamoli, Aloha 17 is approximately a 9-hour drive from Johannesburg and only 90 minutes from Maputo.
A 4×4 vehicle is required for the final stretch, ensuring an exclusive and remote escape.
At Aloha 17, time slows down, and nature takes center stage. Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee while watching the sunrise over the ocean, enjoying a refreshing dip in the pool, or exploring the rich marine life of Mozambique’s warm waters, this villa offers the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. SWIMMING POOL: Please do not dive into the pool. All use of the pool is at your own risk. All children must be supervised by parents when around the pool area. Strictly no glass in the pool. Please rinse the sand off your feet before entering the pool.
(Swimming pool does NOT have safety nets)
Please note that things left outside at night are usually very wet in the morning due to the high level of humidity and condensation in the air.

BEACH ACCESS: To access the beach via the staircase, please use the walkways provided to protect the dunes against erosion.

Guest Access –

An off-road 4X4 vehicle is essential for access to the area and Aloha Beach Estate; otherwise, secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter, you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.

Staff Payment –
There is a compulsory daily staff payment of
R 150.00 per day, which includes your day of arrival and departure.
It is payable to the head housekeeper on the day of your departure.
There are three full-time staff members at the house. They clean, make beds, and wash dishes. 
Ensure you have enough Rands cash on your departure date.
Their working hours include a 1-hour lunch.

REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 4,000.00 is payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages, lost keys, and remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded to your bank account.
Please report any breakages to the housekeepers before you depart. If you find items broken on your 1st day of arrival, please report them to the housekeeper so that they can let the homeowner know.

General – 

If you are flying into Maputo. Maputo has large shopping malls with Woolworths, Checkers, Game, etc. There is a grocery store, butchery, and bottle store in Malongane, and numerous restaurants and barracas (bars)

If you don’t have a 4×4 vehicle, you can leave your car on the South African side of the border; the cost is approx R60 per car per day. (rates subject to change)
We will then put you in contact with the guy who does our transfers to get the rates, etc.

Other Things To Note –

Please take note that the swimming pool does not have a child safety net.
Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case. Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes. Mozambique SIM cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices. The Estate uses borehole water, which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the Ponta Malongane village It is advisable to bring OR buy bottled drinking water.

Please note we make use of a septic system, and don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper. Guests must bring their own consumables e.g., food and liquids, mosquito repellent,  etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the housekeeper on arrival.

The Estate uses borehole water, which is usually brownish in colour and could stain your washing.

House Rules –

Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
Late check-out Fee – R 1500.00
Late check-out is on request only.
This is due to incoming bookings on the day of your departure.
Should the house be available, we will deduct the R 1500.00 from your refundable breakage deposit. The late check-out time is 3 pm.
Any later and they will retain the full breakage deposit.
Please stick to the check-in and check-out times to avoid issues.

Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house – any additional person will be asked to leave. The homeowners at the estate get fined if additional guests are staying at the house. This will affect the refund of the breakage deposit.

No smoking.
Strictly No pets.
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules, then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.

Housekeeping Reminder.

To help us keep every home perfectly equipped for our guests, we kindly ask that all items — including crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other household items — remain in the house where they belong.
If you’ve booked more than one home, please avoid moving items between them. This ensures each property stays fully stocked and ready for the next guests to enjoy. 
Please note that any missing or misplaced items may be deducted from the breakage deposit.

Swimming Pool –
The swimming pool at all the houses has no safety features.
Use of the swimming pool and the associated amenities and facilities are strictly at your own risk. Ponta Malongane Accommodation, Homeowner, and the Estate booked cannot be held responsible in the event of accidental injury and or death.

Swimming in the Ocean
We want to extend a crucial reminder to all visitors planning to swim in the beautiful waters of Mozambique.
While the allure of Mozambique’s pristine beaches may be enticing, it is imperative to exercise extreme caution when venturing into the ocean.
We regret to inform you that many beaches in Mozambique lack signpost warnings and are not equipped with lifeguards, significantly increasing the risks associated with swimming.
One of the most significant dangers to be aware of is the presence of rip tides.
These powerful currents can swiftly pull even the strongest swimmers out to sea, posing a grave threat to your safety.
Without proper signage or lifeguards to guide you, it is vital to remain vigilant and heed any natural warnings such as sudden changes in water color or unusually strong currents.
In light of these hazards, we strongly advise all visitors to exercise caution and refrain from swimming alone. Always inform someone on the land of your plans,
and never underestimate the power of the ocean.

Indemnity: Aloha 17, their holding companies, or any other associated company, the person(s) or trust, shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to, any guest(s), or their property, caused through whatever nature, or by any acts, or any person(s). The person signing the guest registration form will be held liable for payment of all outstanding invoices should any problem with payment occur. Please note that there are no lifeguards at the pool or at Ponta Mamoli Beach. Children swimming in the swimming pool must be kept under adult supervision at all times.

Cancellation Policy –

Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival 70% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival 0% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
*Service fees are non-refundable.
