Sleeping Arrangements –
Aloha 22 sleeps 10 guests in 4 en-suite bedrooms.
NOTE: The bedrooms are not under 1 roof – each bedroom is pod separate from
the main kitchen/ lounge area.
Bedroom 1 – 1 Queen size bed. En-suite. Air-Conditioned.
Bedroom 2 – 4 single beds. En-suite. Air-Conditioned. This room is more suited to 4 single people or children.
Bedrooms 1 and 2 are Interleading (can be locked or kept open).
Bedroom 3 – 1 Queen size bed. En-suite. Air-Conditioned.
Bedroom 4 – 1 Queen size bed. En-suite. Air-Conditioned.
Each bedroom is comfortably furnished with ceiling fans, bedside tables, and bedside lamps.
The en-suite bathrooms have a shower, basin, and toilet.
All linen is provided and bath towels are provided.
Aloha House 22 offers 4 en-suite bedrooms sleeping, 10 guests. Set up as a lodge style, the home has 4 separate buildings, and being a beachfront house, they all have sea views and open up to the large outdoor terrace with a private swimming pool and gazebo area. (Swimming pool Does NOT have safety nets)
From here, you can view the shimmering waves of the sea that are clear blue and mirror the hot sun’s rays. The refreshing breeze that emanates from the seawater is enjoyable.
The living area has an open-plan kitchen and lounge.
The lounge has a TV with a full DSTV.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a
Crockery and cutlery for 10 people.
And all the equipment that you would require in a kitchen for self-catering.
There is a large dining room table in the living area.
Built-in braai facilities at the property.
Charcoal and wood are for sale on-site. Please ask Luther.
There is a water filter in the prep bowl in the kitchen. Only this water is drinkable. Teeth can be brushed with water in the bedrooms but are not to be consumed.
We do recommend bottled water that you need to bring with you.
The washing machine is to be operated by the staff only. If you would like laundry done it is R150 per load. Washing liquid is provided.
Note – although Wifi and DStv and Aircons are provided, sometimes there are technical issues and it might not work. Because the estate is located in a remote area the problem might not be fixed at the same time, it might take a day or more to get it working if a technician has to come out.
Do not rely on it if you are wanting to watch sports etc nor the wifi if you need to be online to work etc.
If it does not work, please report the issue to the staff who will inform the homeowner to try and resolve the problem.
Frederico’s snorkeling spot is a short 10-minute stroll down the beach.
Ensure you take snorkeling gear along!

Guest Access –
An off-road 4X4 vehicle is essential for access to the area and Aloha Beach Estate, otherwise, secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.
Staff Payment –
There is a compulsory staff payment of
R150.00 per day this includes your day of arrival and departure.
It is payable to the head housekeeper on the day you depart.
Ivone is your housekeeper. Her duties include cleaning, washing dishes, making beds, and general cleaning.
Ivone’s working hours are from 7:00 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
7 am to 12 on Saturdays.
If you would like her to work Saturday afternoon you need to pay her
R75.00 for the afternoon and if you would like her to work on Sundays and Public Holidays then you need to pay her R150 for those days.
Her working hours include a 1-hour lunch.
Luther is the gardener and also cleans the pool, braai, and outside area, there is no compulsory staff tip for him, however, a gratuity is always welcome.
The staff do not do any cooking.
Please ensure you have enough Mzn/ Rands cash on your day of departure date.
Other Things To Note –
Please take note that the swimming pool does not have a child safety net.
Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case. Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes. Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices. The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the Ponta Malongane village It is advisable to bring OR buy bottled drinking water.
Please note we make use of a septic system and don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper. Guests must bring their own consumables e.g. (food and liquids, mosquito repellent, etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the housekeeper on arrival.
REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 4000.00 is payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages and lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded to your bank account. Please report any breakages to the housekeepers before you depart. If you find items broken on your 1st day of arrival, please report them to the housekeeper so that they can let the homeowner know.
House Rules –
Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
Late check-out is on request only. This is due to incoming bookings on the day of your departure. Should the house be available, we will deduct the extra charge of R800.00 from your refundable breakage deposit. The latest check-out time is
14:30 pm – any later and they will retain the full breakage deposit.
Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house – any additional person will be asked to leave. The homeowners at the estate get fined if there are additional guests staying at the house. This will affect the refund of the breakage deposit.
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.
Cancellation Policy –
Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival 70% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival 0% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
