Aloha 19 soaks up its Ponta Mamoli shorefront location with incredible unobstructed ocean views from almost every room. Aloha 19 had a large entertaining deck off of the living areas with an infinity pool. Charming results.

Aloha 19 offers spacious rooms sleeping, 20 guests. Being a beachfront house, the large outdoor terrace with a view of the sea is priceless. Large windows invite the views inside. The whole volume is vibrating.

Sleeping Arrangements

Aloha 19 sleeps 20 guests in 8 en-suite bedrooms.
NOTE: The bedrooms are not under 1 roof – each bedroom is pod separate from 
the main kitchen/ lounge area.

Comfortably furnished with ceiling fans, bedside tables with bedside lamps, and en suite bathrooms in each bedroom.
The en-suite bathrooms have a shower, basin, and toilet.
All linen is provided and bath towels are provided.

Your Space.

Aloha 19 is on one level and has a ‘lodge type’ layout, in the sense that the entire house consists of 5 separate buildings, all sea-facing and all open up onto the wooden deck around the swimming pool and gazebo area. (Swimming pool Does NOT have safety nets)
1 Building is the living area/ lounge and kitchen and the other 4 buildings are the bedrooms which are sub-divided.

The living area has an open-plan kitchen and lounge.
The lounge has a TV.
DSTV has to be streamed via the DSTV app logging into your own DSTV account.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a
4 Plate gas hob.
Oven.
Microwave.
2 Fridges.
1 x 500-liter chest freezer.
Washing machine.
Crockery and cutlery for 20 people.
And all the equipment that you would require in a kitchen for self-catering.

There is a large dining room table in the living area.
There is a water filter in the prep bowl in the kitchen. Only this water is drinkable. Teeth can be brushed with water in the bedrooms but are not to be consumed.
We do recommend bottled water that you need to bring with you.

The washing machine is to be operated by the staff only. If you would like laundry done it is R 150.00 per load. Please provide your own Washing powder.

Built-in braai facilities and Charcoal and wood are for sale on-site.

Note – although Wifi DStv and Aircons are provided, sometimes there are technical issues and it might not work. Because the estate is located in a remote area the problem might not be fixed at the same time, it might take a day or more to get it working if a technician has to come out.
Do not rely on it if you want to watch sports etc nor the wifi if you need to be online to work etc.
If it does not work, please report the issue to the staff who will inform the homeowner to try and resolve the problem.

Frederico’s snorkeling spot is a short 10-minute stroll down the beach.
Ensure you take snorkeling gear along!

Guest Access –

An off-road 4X4 vehicle is essential for access to the area and Aloha Beach Estate, otherwise, secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.

Staff Fee –

There is a compulsory daily staff payment –
R 150.00 per day this includes your day of arrival and departure. It is payable to the head housekeeper on the day you depart. Ensure you have enough Rands cash on your day of departure date.

Duties include cleaning, washing dishes, making beds, and general cleaning.
The staff does NOT do any cooking.

Their working hours are 7:00 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday and
7 am to 12 on Saturdays.
If you would like them to work Saturday afternoon you need to pay them R 75.00 for the afternoon and if you would like them to work on Sundays and Public Holidays then you need to pay them R 150.00 each for those days.
Their working hours include a 1-hour lunch.
Please ensure you have enough Rands cash on your day of departure date.

Luther is the gardener and also cleans the pool, braai, and outside area, there is no compulsory staff tip for him, however, a gratuity is always welcome.

Other Things To Note –

Please take note that the swimming pool does not have a child safety net.
Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case. Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes. Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices. The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the Ponta Malongane village It is advisable to bring OR buy bottled drinking water.

Please note we make use of a septic system and don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper. Guests must bring their own consumables e.g. (food and liquids, mosquito repellent,  etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the housekeeper on arrival.

REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 6500.00 is payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages and lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded to your bank account. Please report any breakages to the housekeepers before you depart. If you find items broken on your 1st day of arrival, please report them to the housekeeper so that they can let the homeowner know.

House Rules –

Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
Late check-out Fee – R 1500.00
Late check-out is on request only.
This is due to incoming bookings on the day of your departure.
Should the house be available, we will deduct the R 1500.00 from your refundable breakage deposit. The late check-out time is 3 pm. 
Any later and they will retain the full breakage deposit.
Please stick to the check-in and check-out times to avoid issues.

Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house – any additional person will be asked to leave. The homeowners at the estate get fined if additional guests are staying at the house. This will affect the refund of the breakage deposit.

No smoking.
No pets.
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.

Swimming Pool –
The swimming pool at all the houses has no safety features.
Use of the swimming pool and the associated amenities and facilities are strictly at your own risk. Ponta Malongane Accommodation, Homeowner, and the Estate booked at cannot be held responsible in the event of accidental injury and or death.

Swimming in the Ocean
We would like to extend a crucial reminder to all visitors planning to swim in the beautiful waters of Mozambique. 
While the allure of Mozambique’s pristine beaches may be enticing, it is imperative to exercise extreme caution when venturing into the ocean.
We regret to inform you that many beaches in Mozambique lack signpost warnings and are not equipped with lifeguards,
significantly increasing the risks associated with swimming.
One of the most significant dangers to be aware of is the presence of rip tides.
These powerful currents can swiftly pull even the strongest swimmers out to sea, posing a grave threat to your safety.
Without proper signage or lifeguards to guide you, it is vital to remain vigilant and heed any natural warnings such as sudden changes in water color or unusually strong currents.
In light of these hazards, we strongly advise all visitors to exercise caution and refrain from swimming alone. Always inform someone on the land of your plans,
and never underestimate the power of the ocean.

Cancellation Policy –

Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival 70% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival 0% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
*Service fees are non-refundable.
