BALEIA AZUL 16.

Baleia Azul 16 is located in Ponta Mamoli within the Baleia Azul Estate. Baleia Azul 16 showcases 2 x 6 sleeper houses (A & C) each consisting of 2 en-suite air-conditioned bedrooms with king-size beds.

Each house has a loft area with two single mattresses that can sleep, 2 guests.
Fully equipped for self-catering with a private pool and not too far away from the sea.
Located 45 minutes from the Kosi Bay border, the private estate of Baleia Azul is between Ponta Malongane and Ponta Mamoli.

En suite bathroom has a shower, a toilet, and a hand basin.

Baleia Azul House 16 C – sleeps 6 guests in 2 en-suite bedrooms.
Bedroom 1 – 1 King-size bed. En-suite. Air-Conditioned.
Bedroom 2 – 1 King-size bed. En-suite. Air-Conditioned.
Loft room with 2 single beds.
En suite bathroom has a shower, a toilet, and a hand basin.

All linen is provided and bath towels are provided.

Your Space

Baleia Azul 16 A & C – Guests can rent the property as a 6 or 12 sleeper.
Please note that if you are renting one unit, the swimming pool is shared between the 2 units.
From each house, the open-plan kitchen and lounge area leads out to the large deck with built-in braai. There is a communal swimming pool (No safety nets) for the 2 houses and an additional boma/entertainment area, all of which is shared between Baleia Azul 16 A & C.

Each of the houses has a kitchen that is fully equipped for self-catering and comes with a
4 Hob gas stove and oven.
Fridge/freezer.
Kettle.
Toaster.
Wine cooler.
Box fridge/freezer.

The lounge at each house has a flatscreen TV with DSTV and 2 single couches and a 2 seater couch.

The water comes from a borehole. It is advisable to take drinking water with you.

Frederico’s snorkeling spot is a short 10-minute stroll down the beach.
Ensure you take snorkeling gear along!

There is an entry and exit permit that you need to get at the entrance gate to the Estate, the cost is R 100.00. Remember to hand this permit back when you leave and collect your R 100.00.
There is a public launch site available at R 100.00 per launch.

Guest Access –

An off-road 4X4 vehicle is essential for access to the area and Baleia Azul Beach Estate, otherwise secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.

Staff Tip –

There is a compulsory daily staff tip – Housekeeping staff will be there from 8H00 to 13H00 duties include: washing dishes, make beds, clean inside and outside.
Please tip at your discretion.

Other Things To Note –

Please take note that the swimming pool does not have a child safety net.
Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case. Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes. Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices. The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the Ponta Malongane village It is advisable to bring OR buy bottled drinking water.

Please note we make use of a septic system, don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper. Guests must bring their own consumables e.g. (food and liquids, mosquito repellent, etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the housekeeper on arrival.

REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 2000.00 is payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages and lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded to your bank account. Please report any breakages to the housekeepers before you depart. If you find items broken on your 1st day of arrival, please report them to the housekeeper so that they can let the homeowner know.

House Rules –

Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
Late check-out is on request only. This is due to incoming bookings on the day of your departure. Should the house be available, we will deduct the extra charge of R800.00 from your refundable breakage deposit. The latest check-out time is
14:30 pm – any later and they will retain the full breakage deposit.  

Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house – any additional person will be asked to leave. The homeowners at the estate get fined if there are additional guests staying at the house. This will affect the refund of the breakage deposit. 

No smoking.
No pets.
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.

Cancellation Policy –

Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival 70% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival 0% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
*Service fees are non-refundable.
