Casa Branca in Ponta do Ouro is a spacious and comfortable house that can accommodate up to 8 guests, making it an ideal getaway for the entire family. Casa Branca is conveniently located just across the road from the main Ponta Do Ouro swimming beach.

Sleeping Arrangements

The house features 4 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, providing privacy and convenience for all guests.

Bedroom 1 – King Size (can be set up as 2 single beds) En Suite – Aircon.
Bedroom 2 – King Size (can be set up as 2 single beds) En Suite – Aircon.
Bedroom 3 – King Size (can be set up as 2 single beds) En Suite – Aircon.
Bedroom 4 – King Size (can be set up as 2 single beds) En Suite – Aircon.

Please take your own beach towels.

Your Space

The open-plan layout of the kitchen, lounge, and dining areas creates a sense of spaciousness.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes
1 large fridge.
2 fridges/freezers.
5-hob gas stove.
Oven.
Dishwasher.

In the dining area, there is a 10-seater dining room table where guests can enjoy their meals together.
The lounge area is furnished with comfortable couches, a flat-screen TV, and DSTV (satellite TV).
From the lounge, guests can access a large outside wooden deck that offers breathtaking sea views.

The outdoor living area is designed for relaxation and socializing.
It features a 6-seater dining table and a second large wooden table with 2 spacious benches.
Additionally, there are three armchairs and a two-seater couch for comfortable lounging outside.
At the back of the house, there is a built-in braai (barbecue) area with a table and 6 chairs, perfect for enjoying outdoor cooking and dining.

For added convenience and security, Casa Branca provides secure parking within the premises.

PLEASE NOTE – ELECTRICITY There will be complimentary power on arrival, thereafter electricity is for the client’s account.
Isaac, the staff member of the house, will purchase and recharge the electricity for you.

Guest Access –

An off-road 4X4 or 2×4 with a diff lock vehicle is essential for access to the Ponta Do Ouro area, 2 wheel drive vehicles will only get to where the tar road ends at the Market. Thereafter the road is sandy and gets soft sand in places.
Secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.

Staff Payment – 
Compulsory staff payment – 
Isaac the gardener is very helpful and will help you with unpacking on your arrival. The housekeeper must be paid
R155.00 per day – This must include the day of arrival and the day of departure.

Other Things To Note –

Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case.
Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes.
Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices.
The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the village and it is advisable to bring bottled drinking water.

Please note we use a septic system and don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper.
Guests must bring their own consumables e.g. (food and liquids, mosquito repellent,  etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the housekeeper on arrival, Please plan to arrive before 4 pm so you can collect the keys from him.

REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 3000.00 is payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages, lost keys, and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded to your bank account. Please report any breakages to the housekeepers before you depart. If you find items broken on your 1st day of arrival, please report them to the housekeeper so that they can let the homeowner know.

House Rules –

Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
Late check-out Fee – R 1500.00
Late check-out is on request only.
This is due to incoming bookings on the day of your departure.
Should the house be available, we will deduct the R 1500.00 from your refundable breakage deposit. The late check-out time is 3 pm. 
Any later and they will retain the full breakage deposit.
Please stick to the check-in and check-out times to avoid issues.

Please take note that no extra guests will be allowed over and above the maximum occupancy of a house – any additional person will be asked to leave. The homeowners at the estate get fined if additional guests are staying at the house. This will affect the refund of the breakage deposit.

No smoking.
No pets.
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.

Swimming in the Ocean
We would like to extend a crucial reminder to all visitors planning to swim in the beautiful waters of Mozambique. 
While the allure of Mozambique’s pristine beaches may be enticing, it is imperative to exercise extreme caution when venturing into the ocean.
We regret to inform you that many beaches in Mozambique lack signpost warnings and are not equipped with lifeguards,
significantly increasing the risks associated with swimming.
One of the most significant dangers to be aware of is the presence of rip tides.
These powerful currents can swiftly pull even the strongest swimmers out to sea, posing a grave threat to your safety.
Without proper signage or lifeguards to guide you, it is vital to remain vigilant and heed any natural warnings such as sudden changes in water color or unusually strong currents.
In light of these hazards, we strongly advise all visitors to exercise caution and refrain from swimming alone. Always inform someone on the land of your plans,
and never underestimate the power of the ocean.

Cancellation Policy –

Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival 70% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival 0% of the accommodation total will be refunded.
*Service fees are non-refundable.
