CABANA DE FLORESTA WAKENE BEACH ESTATE

Cabana De Floresta at Wakene Beach Estate offers a private swimming pool overlooking the beauty of the ocean. Cabana De Floresta means the cabin in the forest, however, this particular cabin in the forest has a wonderful sea view and the beach from Cabana De Floresta is via a staircase and a dune.

Wakene Beach Estate is located on 18 acres of Coastal Dune Forest with its own beachfront, 2 km North of Ponta Malongane, 7 km from Ponta do Ouro, and 15km from the Kosi Bay border.

Sleeping Arrangements

Cabana De Floresta sleeps 6 guests in 2 bedrooms.
Bedroom 1 – Double bed. Ensuite.
Bedroom 2 – Queen bed. Ensuite.
Double sleeper couch in the lounge area for an additional 2 people.

2 Bedroom and 2 bathroom unit. Sleeping a maximum of 6 guests (privacy and a real bush/beach experience)  A secluded site within the Dune forest. So if you like your holiday to be away from the crowds, this is for you.

All linen and bath towels are provided.

The spacious living area of the cottage has a lounge, a dining room, and a fully fitted kitchen that opens onto a large deck with braai facilities and beautiful views of the ocean beyond.

The kitchen has all the crockery and cutlery required for a comfortable stay as well as a five-plate gas stove, a microwave, and a fridge-freezer.

Access to the beach via a staircase and dune, private splash pool, and decks on both sides of the house. Even in bad weather, there is a huge deck with a roof over it that can be used to spend time outside.

Rates

Breakage deposit – R 2000.00
A minimum of 2 nights stay and a minimum of 4 adults charge during low season.
Children 4-12 years – R 250.00 per child per night.
Children 0-3 years – no charge
Minimum of 7 nights stays during peak season. Unit rate applies.
Rates are subject to change.

Guest Access –

An off-road 4X4 vehicle is essential for access to the area and Wakene Beach Estate, otherwise, secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged at extra cost. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.

Staff Fee – 
Cabana De Floresta at Wakene Beach Estate is serviced by a housekeeper once a day. 
There is a compulsory daily staff Fee.
R 150.00 per day per staff member (1).
This includes the day of arrival and the day of departure.
This will be added to your invoice for pre-payment.
The staff make beds, sweep, mop, wash dishes, clean bathrooms, etc.
The staff leave at 14h30.
Clients can discuss earlier departure times with staff.
Tipping other staff members on the estate such as
security and maintenance is not mandatory but is up to your discretion.

Other Things To Note –

Power cuts in the area are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please bring torches just in case. Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. You can get signals in some locations higher up on the dunes. Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices. The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. Should you prefer bottled water, it is available in the Ponta Malongane village It is advisable to bring OR buy bottled drinking water.

Please note we make use of a septic system, don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper. Guests must bring their own consumables e.g. (food and liquids, mosquito repellent,  etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the housekeeper on arrival.

REFUNDABLE BREAKAGE DEPOSIT of R 2000.00 payable 1 month before arrival and refunded within 14 days of departure. Any breakages and lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded to your bank account.

House Rules –

Check-in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Checkout: 10:00 AM
A charge will be levied for early check-in and late check-outs.
No smoking.
No pets.
No parties, Loud music, or events/ functions will be allowed.
Reduced noise after 10 pm.
Should you not adhere to these rules then the Estate will retain the full breakage deposit.

Will be sent with reservation form.
