Vista Alta 21 Malongane Cottage

Vista 21 is located in the Vista Alta Beach Estate, Ponta Malongane and is a 4 bedroom 8 sleeper self-catering cottage. There is a main walkway from each house that leads down to the beach and the unit is not more than 200 meters from the beach.

Sleeping arrangements

Bedroom 1 – Double Bed. En suite.
Bedroom 2 – 2 Single Beds. En Suite.
Bedroom 3 – Double Bed. En Suite.
Bedroom 4 – Cottage with 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom is next to the house.

Your space

The main house at Vista 21 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, lounge, kitchen, and deck area, and there is a small cottage with 1 bedroom and en-suite bathroom with a small deck area next to the house.
The kitchen is equipped with a Microwave; stove & oven; standard fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, all the utensils you will need cutlery & crockery for 8 people.
Very comfortable lounge area that opens out onto the deck. There is also a very large deck, with a table, chairs, and a little “chilling” lounge corner.
The swimming pool is private and only for the cottage visitors, there is also a very large Boma area where guests can sit and enjoy the sounds of Nature.
The house is serviced once a day. A tip on departure would be greatly appreciated by the staff.

Guest access –

An off-road 4X4 vehicle is essential for access to the area, otherwise secure parking at Kosi Bay Border Post and a border transfer can be arranged. Thereafter you will have to make use of the transfer company to arrange additional transfers if you need to get around in the area.
The popular 360 Degree Bar/Restaurant is on the Estate (within walking distance).
Campismo Nino Estate Bar and Restaurant is right next door to the north.
Golden Beach Village Bar and Restaurant is next door to the south.

Other things to note –

Power cuts are a challenge and generally out of our control. Please make use of the LED energy saver lamps, sit back and enjoy the ambiance.
Cellphone reception is a challenge that can be a blessing in disguise. The signal is generally available at 360 Restaurant when needed.
Mozambique sim cards and data can also be purchased in the local market in Ponta Malongane at reasonable prices.
The Estate uses borehole water which is usually brownish in colour. It is advisable to bring bottled drinking water. Please note we make use of a septic system, don’t flush other products down the toilets besides toilet paper.
Please bring 1 x ply toilet paper.
Guests must bring their own consumables e.g. (food and liquids, sunlight liquid, washing detergents for clothes, mosquito repellent, 1 x ply toilet paper, etc)
Keys to the unit can be collected from the Reception office at Vista Alta Estate after 2 pm. They should be dropped off again on the date of departure between 8 am and 10 am. On collection of the keys, an R1000 Cash key and breakage deposit need to be paid to reception. A form with your banking details as well as your contact details needs to be completed. Any breakages and lost keys and/or remotes will be deducted from this deposit. The balance will be refunded into your bank account 3 to 5 days after departure.
